Grabbing a stack of bridal magazines is always a great start. However, in this digital age, the wedding world is very present on the web and best of all...the Internet offers rapid changing content all for free!

There are many great websites out there for wedding inspiration. There are the big wedding websites like The Knot, Martha Stewart or Project Wedding and wedding blog staples of Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake or Wedding Chicks.

However, here are a few more websites that will help kick start wedding planning inspiration and allows for you to start personally select and saving what you love.

Pinterest

Maybe you’ve already heard of this website via word of mouth or seen your Facebook friends raving about there love for Pinterest. But did you know there is an extensive wedding and events section on Pinterest?

Let me back up first for those not in Pinterest world – this is a website that displays visual “pins,” which are like photographic snapshots.  You can visually search for anything with Pinterest, like hair cut styles, recipes, holidays crafts or new home décor. You may request an invite and then start pinning visual inspirations from virtually any website to your personal pinboards. Also connect with your friends and any wedding gurus you love (like A Regal Affair! *wink wink*)

Pinterest states: “Our goal is to connect everyone in the world through the 'things' they find interesting. We think that a favorite book, toy, or recipe can reveal a common link between two people. With millions of new pins added every week, Pinterest is connecting people all over the world based on shared tastes and interests.”

A Regal Affair has jumped into the pinning game – please follow our pins!

wedding gawker

Like Pinterest, wedding gawker has thousands of fresh wedding photos for you to peruse daily. The photos differ from Pinterest in that bloggers and photographers have submitted all the photos you see, and each submission has been hand selected by the editors of wedding gawker.

The website says: “To get more details about a photo, simply click on the image and you'll be taken to the submitter's blog post where you'll find tips, trends and more beautiful images. If you…create an account with us, you will be able to save, tag and write notes on your favorite photos/weddings by clicking on the heart icon. You can even share your favorites page with your friends and family.”

The icing on the cake is that these two websites also have mobile apps! Have fun oohing and aahing over the universe of pretty wedding pictures.
